The Neighborhood and women

The neighborhood is a proximity space that mediates between the city and the home. This means that it is an intermediate place defined by both a certain anonymity and social interaction. Most of the time it is a pace for social encounters and meeting up with others. It is within these spaces that the schools are placed, as well as health care centers or leisure places such as gyms or parks. Moreover, they are usually areas where participation is present, through meetings or to collectively look after children and the elderly. They are also the setting for communal projects such as shared gardens or workshops.
